Avengers: Doomsday merchandise has revealed a closer look at the villainous Doctor Doom. The ruler of Latveria will make his MCU debut in the upcoming movie, played by Robert Downey Jr.
Marvel Studios has not revealed much about Doctor Doom yet, even hiding the character’s origins in the Cinemacon trailer. Some fans suspect Marvel may release the trailer later in June.
What do we see in the Avengers: Doomsday merch?
The new merchandise shows a variety of branded objects like a keychain, socks, wallets, and more. Most of the items are Doom-themed, with the character’s signature green soaking through the products. The art shows Doom wearing his metallic mask and green hood, with no hints at RDJ under the mask.
The other Doomsday-branded items show new looks at Captain America, Beast, Mr. Fantastic, and Cyclops. Some of the items also show off the classic logos for the three primary teams going up against Doom: the Avengers, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four.
The trailer shown at Cinemacon reportedly featured a moment where Doom stops Thor’s Stormbreaker at full strength with his fingers. While the film’s story is being kept under wraps, the footage suggests that Doom will be the biggest threat the MCU’s heroes have faced. The trailer showed Thor rallying its heroes to work together.
Most recently, Avengers directors Joe and Anthony Russo revealed a new look at Latveria’s flag in the MCU. It’s unclear how Latveria will factor into Doomsday’s story, which appears to involve the multiverse. Besides Doom, the film will also reportedly pay homage to other MCU villains.
Avengers: Doomsday will bring together the MCU’s old guard and new to face their biggest threat yet. The film will be followed by Avengers: Secret Wars the following year.
Avengers: Doomsday is currently slated to release in theaters on December 18, 2026.
