Ralph Macchio was attending the PaleyFest, when he interacted with People and shared an update about the film’s reboot. The actor told the outlet, “Yeah, I’ve had conversations with other writers about that.” He further shared his admiration for the movie by referring to it as a “beloved piece.”
Moreover, Macchio asserted that a reboot of My Cousin Vinny will only happen if they find a “smart angle” for the story. The Karate Kid actor conveyed that he wants veteran actor Joe Pesci to be a part of the reboot despite the size of his role. He added, “He could FaceTime it in here.”
My Cousin Vinny has attained the status of a cult classic over the years. The movie garnered immense praise from critics and fans and earned over $64 million at the box office. It has even achieved a score of 85 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, based on the Tomatometer. Furthermore, My Cousin Vinny has scored 87 percent, based on the Popcornmeter.
