The Death of Snow White release date has been announced for the upcoming horror fantasy movie, based on the Brothers Grimm’s 1812 fairytale novel. This comes after Entertainment Squad’s The Horror Collective has acquired the North American digital distribution rights to the movie.
“Fairy tales have always had a dark side, and The Death of Snow White embraces that in a bold, terrifying way,” Entertainment Squad CEO Shaked Berenson said in a statement. “With the success of horror reimaginings, it’s clear audiences are ready for a fresh, chilling take on a classic story.”
In addition, a brand new trailer has also been shared, teasing what to expect from the live-action horror remake of the classic animated Disney movie. The film will be led by Sanae Loutsis as Snow White, Chelsea Edmundson as The Evil Queen, and Tristan Nokes as The Prince.

When is The Death of Snow White release date?
Atlas Distribution will be releasing The Death of Snow White in select theaters starting on April 18, nearly a month after the theatrical debut of Disney’s live-action Snow White movie. Meanwhile, The Horror Collective is currently targeting a summer release date window for the movie’s digital release.
“It is a dark fantasy retelling of the classic story by the Brothers Grimm with elements of horror,” reads the synopsis. “A self-mutilating evil queen, dwarves with a talent for gruesome killing. It’s a terrifying movie that features an expanded story, brutal violence, and practical special effects that will leave you breathless.”
The Death of Snow White is written and directed by Jason Brooks, who previously starred as Jason Voorhees in multiple fan-made Friday the 13th movies. Additional cast includes Kelly Tappan as The Good Queen, Tyler McKenna as The King, Meredith Binder as The Evil Witch, Ali Chapman as Arsta, Jeremy Hallam as Dozer, Dillon Moore as Sunny, Michael DeSantos as Grimwald, Risa Mei as Pollen, and more. It is executive produced by Shawn Loutsis, with Naomi Mechem-Miller, Kody Newton, Kayli Fortun, Charles Bunce, Randy Brians, and Steve Barton producing.
