The first official Baby Invasion trailer is out, previewing Harmony Korine’s upcoming movie about a group of first-person home invaders.
What happens in Harmony Korine’s Baby Invasion trailer?
The trailer shows off more of the movie, which is described as an interactive, experimental thriller, and is about a group of home invaders breaking into a home, and is filmed from a first-person perspective. The faces of the invaders are obscured purposely, with Korine using AI technology to replace the faces with that of a group of babies, and the entire POV is structured like a first-person shooter game.

Baby Invasion had its world premiere last year at the Venice International Film Festival, with Korine noting that he filmed over 80 hours of footage for the movie. The score for the film is done by notoriously mysterious electronic artist Burial, with Korine noting to Variety that he had never spoken to or even met with the artist in the process of the soundtrack being done.
Similar to his last film, Aggro Dr1ft, Baby Invasion has no traditional script or cast, and was instead acted out by people that Korine said had done actual home invasions prior. “Some of the cast were actually people that tried to rob a lot of friends of mine,” Korine said (via Variety). “Once they were arrested, we cast them and it just added that extra sense of reality.”
“In a first-person shooter game leaked to the dark web, a group of mercenaries disguised with baby faces invade mansions of the wealthy and powerful,” reads the official synopsis for the film. “However, as gamers livestream the game, the protagonists’ gang of horrific murders may or may not be happening in real life.”
