Amazon MGM Studios has announced the Deep Cover release date for its newest action comedy about improv actors trying to infiltrate the London underworld by posing as criminals. In addition, the movie’s first look photos have also been unveiled, featuring the main cast led by Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic Wordl, Argylle) and Orlando Bloom (Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean).
“The film is a fast-paced action comedy set in London. Kat, an aspiring comedian, is currently teaching improv classes and beginning to question if she’s missed her chance at success when an undercover policeman offers her the role of a lifetime,” reads the official synopsis. “Kat, with two of her improv students – Marlon and Hugh, must infiltrate London’s gangland by impersonating dangerous criminals. The trio quickly find themselves in over their heads.”
When is the Deep Cover release date?
Deep Cover is scheduled to make its debut on June 12, 2025, exclusively on Prime Video. The film will also star Nick Mohammed (Ted Lasso) , Paddy Considine (House of the Dragon), Sonoya Mizuno (Crazy Rich Asians, House of the Dragon), Sean Bean (Game of Thrones), and Ian McShane (John Wick).
The film is directed by English filmmaker Tom Kingsley (Ghosts) from a screenplay written by Derek Connolly and Colin Trevorrow, along with British improv duo Ben Ashenden and Alexander Owen. It is produced by Trevorrow, Walter F. Parkes, and Laurie MacDonald. The film currently has a total runtime of 1 hour and 40 minutes. It is a production of Metronome Film Co.
