Joe and Anthony Russo, also known as the Russo Brothers, have a plan in place to prevent Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars casting and plot leaks.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to arrive in 2026 from Marvel Studios, while Avengers: Secret Wars comes roughly one year after that. Both films are being directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, which was announced at San Diego Comic-Con last year.
With production on Avengers: Doomsday expected to kick off next month, the Russos say they’ll be taking extra measures to make sure information about the movie doesn’t leak online.

Speaking with Collider, Joe confirmed they have a plan and are “pretty good about shutting” down any paparazzi trying to take pictures of the movie’s set.
Anthony added, “We’ve sort of strategized to hopefully be effective with that.”
Joe further said that a lot of Avengers: Doomsday will be filmed on soundstages in order to prevent people from taking pictures.
“We don’t want people getting photographs, so we are being pretty stringent,” he explained, while Joe pointed out that the other spots they’re filming have been picked “with that in mind, as well.”
Avengers: Doomsday will be released in United States theaters on May 2, 2026. Not much is known about the plot of the ensamble MCU movie other than that Robert Downey Jr. will appear as Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom. The main cast of The Fantastic Four: First Steps — Ebon Moss’Bachrach’s Ben Grimm, Pedro Psacal’s Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm, and Joseph Quinn’s Human Torch — and Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson/Captain America are also expected to appear.
Marvel‘s Avengers: Secret Wars then follows on May 7, 2024. The fourth Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland will be released between Doomsday and Secret Wars on July 31, 2026.
