Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment has announced that 3 Clint Eastwood movies, including 1971’s Dirty Harry, 1976’s The Outlaw Josey Wales, and 1985’s Pale Rider, will officially be getting 4K releases for the first time. The Outlaw Josey Wales and Pale Rider were both directed by Eastwood, while Dirty Harry was the first movie he served as a producer.
When is the 4K release dates for the 3 Clint Eastwood movies?
Dirty Harry, The Outlaw Josey Wales, and Pale Rider will be available to purchase on 4K Ultra HD, starting on April 29, 2025. In addition, the three movies will also be available to rent or own on digital platforms on the same day as their 4K releases.
“Eastwood stars as no-holds-barred San Francisco cop Dirty Harry Callahan in this action thriller that began an action franchise,” reads the official synopsis. When detective Harry Callahan is assigned to pay extortion money to a serial murderer, the payoff goes wrong. Now with the life of a 14-year-old girl at stake, Callahan refuses to allow anything–including the law–to keep him from stopping the killer.
Dirty Harry was directed by Don Siegel from a screenplay written by Harry Julian, R.M. Fink, and Dean Riesner, based on a story by Harry Julian Fink and R.M. Fink. Besides Eastwood, the movie also starred Harry Guardino, Reni Santoni, John Vernon, Andy Robinson, John Larch, Mae Mercer, and more.

“The Outlaw Josey Wales is a fast-paced Western about the fight for vengeance by a Missouri farmer whose family is murdered in the last days of the United States’ Civil War,” reads the synopsis.
The 1976 movie was directed by Eastwood from a screenplay written by Phil Kaufman and Sonia Chernus, based on the novel Gone to Texas by Forrest Carter. The film also starred Chief Dan George, Sondra Locke, Bill McKinney, and John Vernon.

The R-rated movie was directed and produced by Eastwood from a screenplay written by Michael Butler and Dennis Shryack. Eastwood was joined by Michael Moriarty, Carrie Snodgress, Christopher Penn, Richard Dysart, Sydney Penny, Richard Kiel, Doug McGrath, and John Russell.
