Mikey Madison closed out an accomplished award season by winning the Oscar for Best Actress for her role in Anora. According to a new report from THR, she’s currently weighing options for her next role.
What do we know about Mikey Madison’s next roles?
In a recent report on what many of the nominees and winners of the 97th Oscars are doing next, Madison’s roles were left mysterious. The report notes that, while Madison has yet to announce her next role following her star-making performance in Anora, she has several options to choose from.
According to the report, Madison is said to be “at the top of studios’ and directors’ wish lists,” and has offers to star in a Colleen Hoover adaptation, as well as having garnered interest from acclaimed director Greta Gerwig.
As to what both projects are, it’s unknown as of now what either could be. Since the popularity of It Ends With Us, several of Hoover’s books have been picked up for movie adaptations. Among them, a movie adaptation of Verity is in the works, with Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson, and Josh Hartnett set to star in the movie. Two more of Hoover’s books, including Regretting You and Reminders of Him, have been picked up as well.
As for Gerwig, she continues to work on her upcoming Chronicles of Narnia adaptation for Netflix. While little is known about the films, Netflix reportedly has big plans for them, including exclusive IMAX runs and several sequels.
