Disney has released the Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip trailer for the upcoming family adventure comedy. The movie is scheduled to start streaming on March 28, exclusively on Disney+.

What is Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip about?

“Alexander Garcia has always believed he has the worst luck in the world, so when his mom Val devises a plan to bring her seemingly disconnected family on a fancy vacation to Mexico City aboard a luxury RV as part of her travel writing job, he is sure it will end in disaster,” reads the official synopsis. “Despite his fears, the family – including dad Frank, teen sister Mia, Grandma Lidia, and Grandpa Gil – set out, only to find absolutely everything is going terribly wrong. When the family discovers an ancient, cursed idol may be to blame, they must work together to return it to where it belongs.”

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip is directed by Marvin Lemus from a screenplay written by Matt Lopez. It serves as a standalone sequel to the 2014 Steve Carell comedy, based on Judith Viorst’s 1972 novel Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. The cast includes Eva Longoria, Jesse Garcia, Paulina Chávez, Rose Portillo, Thom Nemer, Cheech Marin, Cristo Fernández, Harvey Guillén, Mabel Cadena, and Michelle Buteau. It is produced by Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, Dan Cohen, and Lisa Henson, with Longoria, Emily Morris, and Shelly Strong serving as executive producers.
