Sing Sing Max Streaming Release Date Set for Oscar-Nominated Colman Domingo Movie

Warner Bros. Discovery and A24 have officially announced the Sing Sing Max streaming release date, when fans can watch the Oscar-nominated prison drama.

When is the Sing Sing Max streaming release date?

Sing Sing will arrive on Max beginning on March 21, 2025, a little over a month away, and just after the Academy Awards, which Sing Sing is represented at fairly well.

The film is currently up for three awards, including Best Actor (Colman Domingo), Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Original Song. Directed by Greg Kwedar, Sing Sing was released in United States theaters in July 2024.

The movie stars Colman Domingo and Paul Raci, with the rest of the supporting cast comprised of real formerly incarcerated men who were alumni of the Rehabilitation Through the Arts programs in prisons.

“In the film, Divine G, imprisoned at Sing Sing for a crime he didn’t commit, finds purpose by acting in a theatre group with other incarcerated men,” reads the synopsis. “When a wary outsider joins the group, the men decide to stage their first original comedy, in this stirring true story of resilience, humanity, and the transformative power of art, starring an unforgettable ensemble cast of formerly incarcerated actors.”

Sing Sing is directed by Greg Kwedar from a screenplay he co-wrote with Clint Bentley, based on the real-life Rehabilitation Through the Arts program at Sing Sing prison in Ossining, New York. Joining Domingo are Clarence Maclin, Sean San José, Paul Raci, Dap Giraudy, Patrick Griffin, Jon Adrian Velazquez and Dino Johnson.
