Ever since the release of Creed 3, fans have been waiting for an update on the next installment’s arrival, but to no avail. While Michael B. Jordan, who leads the franchise as Adonis Creed, has come out to share some details on the Creed 4 release date, they certainly don’t fall on the positive end of the spectrum. According to the Black Panther actor, he is more than willing to add another part to the fan-favorite film series, but only if certain conditions stand.
Creed 4 is confirmed to happen, but has no release date yet
In a recent discussion, Michael B. Jordan opened up about the possibilities of Creed 4, teasing the project’s release date.
While talking with GQ, the seasoned actor admitted that there is room to extend the Creed franchise. However, he emphasized that he would not come on board just for the sake of it. “Yeah, the fourth one, eventually, not sure when, but we left that door open to build on that franchise. My thing is like, I don’t wanna make a movie just to make it, give it a little time to breathe, make people want it, miss it a little bit. And when the time is right, I’ll drop in and do another one,” Jordan noted.
A spin-off of the famous Rocky franchise, the first Creed film hit theatres in 2015 and instantly garnered praise from audiences and critics alike. It put Michael B. Jordan’s Adonis Creed, the son of the legendary Apollo Creed, at the center of things as he attempts to follow in his father’s footsteps to become a professional boxer. Creed also featured the much-awaited return of Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky Balboa, who serves as Adonis’ mentor.
As conveyed by Michael B. Jordan, a sequel to Creed 3 could still happen in the near future. However, with no official word on the project, fans should not expect an update on Creed 4’s release date anytime soon.
