Superman did not have a presence at the 2025 Super Bowl, so DC Studios released the new footage during the Puppy Bowl. James Gunn attended the event with his dog Ozu. Alongside Guy Gardner’s promo, DC Studios also unveiled a separate promotional video for Krypto the Superdog.
As the first live-action film under the new DC Universe, Superman (2025) will debut in theaters on July 11, 2025. The movie features David Corenswet as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. It will also introduce several DC Universe characters, including Edi Gathegi’s Mister Terrific, Isabela Merced’s Hawkgirl, and Anthony Carrigan’s Metamorpho.
Nathan Fillion’s Guy Gardner will be a member of the Justice League International in the film. Based on set photos, Maxwell Lord may be involved with the team in some capacity.
DC Studios continues its marketing efforts for Superman by releasing new promotional clips as the film’s release date approaches.
