More footage continues to come out of Sydney Sweeney’s upcoming Christy Martin biopic, with TMZ Sports sharing a new video of the star sparring in the ring.
The latest video comes from TMZ, who exclusively shared in-ring footage of Sweeney boxing it out in a sparring session with the actual Christy Martin. Dressed as Christy from the upcoming movie, Sweeney and Martin gently go back and forth with one another. It’s unclear if this is going to be in the upcoming movie in any way or if this is just some playful back-and-forth between the two while on set.

TMZ also shared some of the first look photos from the movie, including Sweeney as Martin sitting in her house, looking at an issue of Sports Illustrated which features her on the cover.
What do we know about the Christy Martin biopic?
The currently untitled Christy Martin movie will see Sweeney take on the role of the legendary boxer who was the first female boxer elected into Nevada’s Boxing Hall of Fame and is also an International Boxing Hall of Famer. The movie will not only chronicle Martin’s rise to fame in the boxing world but also her attempted murder by her husband in 2010 as well.
Along with Sweeney, the movie, which Black Bear is financing, will star Ben Foster, Merritt Weaver, Ethan Embry, Jess Gabor, Katy O’Brian, Chad L. Colman, and Tony Cavlero. Currently, no release information for the movie is available.
