Exclusive: Coming-of-Age Drama Movie Benji’s Hour Acquired by Buffalo 8

ComingSoon can exclusively announce that Benji’s Hour, a new coming-of-age drama movie from Gabriel Kahane, has been acquired by Buffalo 8 for North American distribution.

Justin Mark (Gotham, Red Dead Redemption II), Holly Heiser (Sleepaway Slasher), and Catherine Curtin (Stranger Things, Orange Is the New Black) star in Benji’s Hour, which is about a young man who must work at a store that provides wigs to cancer patients. A United States release date for the film has not yet been announced.

“The story follows Benji (Justin Mark), a rebellious teenager sentenced to three months of court-mandated community service at a wig shop serving cancer patients,” the synopsis for the movie reads. “The shop’s owner, Susan (Catherine Curtin), brings a rare sense of kindness and stability to Benji’s chaotic life, however, it’s his guarded coworker Laura (Holly Heiser) who captivates him, as their shared pain creates an unlikely bond. Together, they embark on a journey of self-discovery, resilience, and tough choices.”
