Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow Photo Reveals DCU Movie’s Logo as Production Starts

James Gunn has shared a new Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow photo, previewing the upcoming DC Universe movie while also revealing the logo that Supergirl will be using.

The new image comes from Gunn, who shared the image on social media to celebrate the film’s official production start. The photo itself is just a behind-the-scenes look at what appears to be Milly Alcock sitting in a director’s chair, but fans were quick to spot the Supergirl logo on the chair.

In his message, Gunn also praised director Craig Gillespie as well as Alcock for what he believes will be a “unique” story featuring the comic book character. Check out the new image below:

What do we know about Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow?

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow releases in the United States in theaters on June 26, 2026. The movie will be the second feature film entry in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s forthcoming DCU following 2025’s Superman.

Leading the cast will be Milly Alcock in the titular role of Kara Zor-El/Supergirl. Alongside her, the upcoming DCU film will also star Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and more. The film will be directed by Craig Gillespie, who is known for making 2007’s Lars and the Real Girl, 2011’s Fright Night, 2017’s I, Tonya, 2021’s Cruella, and, most recently, 2023’s Dumb Money.

“Kara Zor-El has seen some epic adventures over the years, but finds her life without meaning or purpose,” the solicitation for Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow #1 reads. “Here she is, a young woman who saw her planet destroyed and was sent to Earth to protect a baby cousin who ended up not needing her. What was it all for? Wherever she goes, people only see her through the lens of Superman’s fame. Just when Supergirl thinks she’s had enough, everything changes. An alien girl seeks her out for a vicious mission. Her world has been destroyed, and the bad guys responsible are still out there. She wants revenge, and if Supergirl doesn’t help her, she’ll do it herself, whatever the cost. Now a Kryptonian, a dog, and an angry, heartbroken child head out into space on a journey that will shake them to their very core.”
