Den of Thieves 2: Pantera has dethroned Mufasa: The Lion King at the domestic box office.
Having just opened this past Friday, Den of Thieves 2: Pantera took the number one spot at the United States box office this weekend, as the O’Shea Jackson Jr. and Gerard Butler-starring sequel made around $15.5 million.
Per Deadline, Mufasa: The Lion King came in second with an additional $13.2 million, while Sonic the Hedgehog 3 sped into third place with $11 million.
The Last Showgirl, which stars Pamela Anderson, meanwhile came in tenth place with $1.53 million; although, the movie only played in roughly 870 theaters in the United States. The Robbie Williams biopic, Better Man, meanwhile failed to crack the top ten during its first week of wide release as it made $1.1 million.
