David Harbour teases Violent Night 2 in new Christmas post
David Harbour surprised many fans after he made a post on Instagram recently, teasing that the upcoming sequel Violent Night 2 is already in the works and a script is ready. The actor was seen sitting in a Christmas setting in the image he shared. He also had Santa Claus sitting beside him. Harbour can be seen holding a script in his hand, the title of which reads Violent Night 2.
Previously, while speaking to ComicBook, Harbour shared how he wanted a sequel to happen as much as fans do and said, “Well, keep your eyes peeled because I also love that movie, and I think that Universal was excited about that idea as well. So we’re working a little bit.” He further spoke about his own excitement for the project, saying they have “some very talented people working on it.”
Violent Night follows the story of Harbour’s Santa Claus, who enters the house of a wealthy family on Christmas Eve to drop off gifts. However, he encounters an unexpected situation in progress there, as the family staying in the house is taken hostage by mercenaries. Harbour’s Santa takes matters into his own hands as he embarks on a mission to save the family. The movie toys with numerous conventions of holiday-themed films and features lots of action and gore.
Released by Universal Pictures, Violent Night went on to earn over $76 million at the global box office, as per Box Office Mojo.
