The first four Harry Potter movies are returning to the big screen, with Fathom and Warner Bros. Discovery announcing that the films will arrive in theaters early next year.
When are the Harry Potter theatrical return dates?
The Harry Potter theatrical return is set to begin on February 13, 2025, when the first four movies in the eight-part saga will start to arrive at movie theaters as part of Fathom Fan Favorites, a new theatrical series that features films from iconic franchises returning to theaters nationwide.
For those looking to watch the films in 4DX motion seats, Fathom will also screen the Harry Potter movies beginning on February 27, 2025. Each screening of the movie will include an exclusive introduction by movie critic legend Leonard Maltin.
The Harry Potter film series began back in 2001 with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Alongside the special release, the rerelease will also act as the 20th anniversary of the film’s fourth movie, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
The films feature Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint in starring roles as Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley, respectively. Alongside them, the cast of the film includes acting legends Helena Bonham Carter, Ralph Fiennes, Warwick Davis, Miriam Margolyes, Maggie Smith, and more.
