Moana 2 is continuing its reign at the domestic box office as it has beat out Kraven the Hunter and The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim.
Per Deadline, Moana 2 made an additional $26.6 million at the United States box office this past weekend, bringing its domestic total up to $337.5 million in its third week. Wicked didn’t trail too far behind, as it made another $22.5 million this past weekend for a grand domestic total of $359 million.
Newcomers Kraven the Hunter and The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim both struggled, as the Sony Spider-Man Universe brought in a disappointing $11 million and the animated Lord of the Rings film made $4.6 million.
Moana 2 is likely to be dethroned this coming week as movies like Mufasa: The Lion King, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and Babygirl hit theaters.
