Searchlight Pictures has finally announced the A Real Pain digital and Blu-ray release dates for its newest comedy-drama film starring Emmy Award winner Kieran Culkin as Benji Kaplan and Academy Award nominee Jesse Eisenberg as David Kaplan. This comes after over a month since the movie made its theatrical debut. Since then, the film has been receiving positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. It currently holds a Certified Fresh rating of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes.
“Mismatched cousins David and Benji reunite for a tour through Poland to honor their beloved grandmother. The adventure takes a turn when the odd couple’s old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history,” reads the synopsis.
When is the A Real Pain digital and Blu-ray release dates?
A Real Pain will officially be available to rent or own on digital platforms starting on December 31. It will then be followed by its Blu-ray release on February 4, 2025. Besides Culkin and Eisenberg, the cast also includes Will Sharpe (The White Lotus), Jennifer Grey (Dirty Dancing), Kurt Egyiawan (The Exorcist), Liza Sadovy (Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street), and Daniel Oreskes (Law & Order).
The film was written and directed by Eisenberg, which serves as his second directorial project following the 2022 film When You Finish Saving the World. It was produced by Emma Stone, Dave McCary, Ali Herting, Jennifer Semler, and Ewa Puszczyńska. This marked the latest collaboration between Eisenberg and Stone, who previously worked together in the Zombieland franchise.
