John Cena & Eric Andre to Lead Comedy Movie Little Brother for Netflix

WWE star-turned-actor John Cena and Emmy-winning comedian Eric André have signed on to star in Netflix‘s upcoming comedy movie titled Little Brother. At the moment, the project is still currently in early development.

Following his successful WWE career, Cena also gained recognition for his roles in several comedy movies such as Blockers, Playing with Fire, Vacation Friends, and Ricky Stanicky. He also starred in blockbuster movies like F9: The Fast Saga and the live-action Barbie movie. Meanwhile, André’s film credits include Rough Night, Bad Trip, The Mitchells vs. Machines, Trolls Band Together, and The Lion King.

What is Litte Brother about?

Netflix’s Little Brother movie is written by Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel. The film is being produced by David Bernad and Ruben Fleischer. At the moment, it has no director, target production start date, or release date yet.

“The film revolves around a famous real estate agent whose carefully curated world is upended when his eccentric ‘little brother’ unexpectedly reappears,” reads the official synopsis.

Besides Little Brother, Cena is also attached to lead several movies, including Mattel’s live-action Matchbox movie with Jessica Biel and the action thriller Heads of State with Idris Elba. He will also be reprising his fan-favorite DC role in the long-awaited Peacemaker Season 2, which is expected to debut sometime in 2025. As for André, who’s coming off from winning his first Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in a Short Form Comedy, he will also next be seen in the action comedy Balls Up with Mark Wahlberg and Paul Walter Hauser.
