Tom Cruise helped design AMC Theatres’ popcorn bucket for Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning.
Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning will be released in United States theaters this May. The eighth film in the Mission: Impossible series, it will see Cruise once again reprise his role as IMF agent Ethan Hunt.
Per Time, Cruise not only stars in and produces the film; but he also lent a hand in designing a popcorn bucket to be released at AMC Theatres alongside The Final Reckoning’s theatrical debut.
“According to Rob Bennett, the director of food and beverage product strategy at AMC, Cruise helped to guide the design of the theater chain’s bucket, which will debut alongside Mission: Impossible—The Final Reckoning next May. Bennett is not giving anything away. ‘But we nailed it,’ he says gleefully,” the article reads.

Along with Cruise, The Final Reckoning stars Hayley Atwell as Grace, Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn, Vanessa Kirby as Alanna Mitsopolis, Esai Morales as Gabriel, Pom Klementieef as Paris, Henry Czerny as Eugene Kittridge, and Angela Bassett as Erika Sloane.
The cast further includes Holt McCallany, Nick Offerman, Hannah Waddingham, Shea Whigham, Greg Tarzan Davis, Tramell Tillman, and more. Production on the film (originally titled Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part Two) was delayed because of the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike; however, production was completed in November 2024.
Christopher McQuarrie — who directed previous franchise entries 2015’s Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation, 2018’s Mission: Impossible — Fallout, and 2023’s Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning — returns to helm the movie. McQuarrie co-wrote the script with Erik Jendresen. McQuarrie also serves as a producer on the film, while David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, and Chris Brock serve as executive producers.
Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning will be released in United States theaters on May 23, 2025, by Paramount Pictures.
