Paramount Pictures has officially announced the Smile 2 Paramount+ release date for the upcoming streaming debut of its Naomi Scott-led supernatural horror sequel. During its theatrical run, the film has earned a worldwide gross of over $137 million at the box office. It also currently holds a Certified Fresh rating of 86% on Rotten Tomatoes.
When is the Smile 2 Paramount+ release date?
Smile 2 is scheduled to start streaming on Paramount+ this Tuesday, December 3. This comes after more than a month since its theatrical debut. The ensemble cast includes Naomi Scott as Skye Riley, Raúl Castillo as Darius, Lukas Gage as Lewis, Miles Gutierrez-Riley as Joshua, Dylan Gelula as Gemma, Rosemarie DeWitt as Elizabeth Riley, Zebedee Row as Alexi, Ray Nicholson as Paul Hudson, and A Nightmare on Elm Street alum Kyle Gallner as Joel.
“About to embark on a new world tour, global pop sensation Skye Riley begins experiencing increasingly terrifying and inexplicable events,” reads the synopsis. “Overwhelmed by the escalating horrors and the pressures of fame, Skye is forced to face her dark past to regain control of her life before it spirals out of control.”
Smile 2 is once again written and directed by Parker Finn. The first installment was based on his 2020 short film Laura Hasn’t Slept. It is produced by Finn, Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, Isaac Klausner, and Robert Salerno. The crew also includes director of cinematography Charlie Sarroff and editor Elliot Greenberg, with Cristobal Tapia de Veer serving as the composer.
