Bill Burr is writing and directing a new movie for Skydance Sports titled Born Losers.
Burr is a comedian who is known for starring in movies such as the Daddy’s Home films, 2020’s The King of Staten Island, and more.
Per Deadline, Burr has signed on to write, direct, and star in a new feature film for Skydance Sports, Born Losers.

Plot details for Born Losers remain under wraps at this time, though it will presumably have something to do with sports. Burr is writing the script for the film alongside Ben Tishler for North Hill.
Jesse Sisgold, Jason Reed, and Don Granger for Skydance Sports are also producing the film alongside Burr, Tishler, and Mike Bertolina. Sandino Moya-Smith is overseeing the project for Skydance.
In addition to the aforementioned titles, Burr played Patrick Kuby in Breaking Bad and Migs Mayfeld in The Mandalorian. His filmography additionally includes 2010’s Date Night, 2012’s Stand Up Guys, 2013’s The Heat, 2018’s The Front Runner, and 2024’s Unfrosted, among other titles.
Burr made his feature film directorial debut in 2023 with the comedy movie Old Dads. Available to watch on Netflix, the film stars Burr, Bobby Cannavale, and Bokeem Woodbine as three fathers who find it difficult to adapt to the fast-paced, ever-changing world.
Skydance Sports was created in 2021. The company’s first project was a three-part docuseries about the men’s soccer teams from Mexico and the United States, Good Rivals, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video in November 2022. They were also involved with the 2023 Air movie directed by Ben Affleck, along with NFL Draft: The Pick Is In, Kelce, and Hard Knocks: Offseason with the New York Giants.
