Actor Lee Majdoub shaves Jim Carrey’s head in a new Sonic the Hedgehog 3 featurette video.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will be released in United States theaters next month. Carrey is reprising his role as Dr. Ivo Robotnik in the film, while he is also playing Ivo’s grandfather, Gerald Robotnik.
Rotten Tomatoes Trailers has shared a new Sonic the Hedgehog 3 featurette video that sees Majdoub, who plays Robotnik’s assistant Agent Stone in the franchise, shave Carrey’s head.
“We are shooting Sonic 3, and I just cut Jim Carrey’s hair on camera,” Majdoub says in the video. “It was so much fun. [Carrey] wanted me to do it, and he showed me a lot of trust.”

What is Sonic the Hedgehog 3 about?
“Sonic the Hedgehog returns to the big screen this holiday season in his most thrilling adventure yet. Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails reunite against a powerful new adversary, Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers unlike anything they have faced before,” the synopsis for the movie reads. “With their abilities outmatched in every way, Team Sonic must seek out an unlikely alliance in hopes of stopping Shadow and protecting the planet.”
Ben Schwartz returns to play Sonic the Hedgehog in the new movie, while the voice cast also includes Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Miles “Tails” Prower, Idris Elba as Knuckles the Echidna, and Keanu Reeves as Shadow the Hedgehog.
James Marsden is also returning to reprise his role as Tom Wachowski, while the live-action cast further features Tika Sumpter, Krysten Ritter, Natasha Rothwell, Cristo Fernández, Alyla Browne, and more.
The film is directed by Jeff Fowler, who also helmed the previous two live-action movies in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 releases in United States theaters on December 20, 2024, from Paramount Pictures.
