ComingSoon can exclusively announce that Zach Tinker, Kate Pittard, and more have joined the cast of a new thriller movie titled Face of the Earth.
Face of the Earth is a new indie thriller movie that will be primarily filmed in Puerto Rico. It is about a woman who flies down to Puerto Rico to find her soon-to-be husband after he abruptly disappears.
“In the thriller, Pittard stars as Dani who, worried about her relationship, flies to Puerto Rico to surprise her fiancé (Tinker) on his business trip, only to find he has mysteriously vanished,” the synopsis for the film reads. “Frantically she searches the island to uncover the secret behind his disappearance.
What else is starring in the Face of the Earth thriller movie with Tinker and Pittard?
Along with Tinker (Days of Our Lives, Fire Country) and Pittard (Bridge and Tunnel, Sweethearts), ComingSoon can reveal that the cast of Face of the Earth includes Erica Sweany (Law & Order), Brian Rojas (A Good Person), Liz Dieppa (Fantasy Island), and Johanna Rosaly (Force of Nature).
Face of the Earth is directed by Andrew Ellmaker, who is making his feature film directorial debut. Ellmaker previously served as a cinematographer on 2019’s Low Tide, an A24 film written and directed by Kevin McMullin that starred Jaeden Martell, Keenan Johnson, Alex Neustaedter, and Daniel Zolghadri. Low Tide is currently available to stream on both Max and Kanopy at this time.
Ellmaker co-wrote the script for Face of the Earth with Emily Ragsdale (City on a Hill, Bosch: Legacy). Ellmaker and Ragsdale also both serve as producers on the film alongside Patrick Nichols, while Christopher Ferguson (Bad Education) will serve as the cinematographer.
An exact release date for Face of the Earth has not yet been announced, though it is targeting a Q3 2025 release.
