Capstone Studios has announced that Justin Long (Barbarian) and Kate Bosworth (Superman Returns) have signed on for leading roles in upcoming survival thriller Coyote. This marks the long-time couple’s latest collaboration, after previously starring together in 2022’s black comedy horror movie House of Darkness.
“We are elated to have Capstone on board to help us bring this incredible tale to audiences worldwide,” Producer Nathan Klingher said in a statement. “With Colin Minihan directing such sympathetic actors as Justin and Kate, and a tautly paced script from Tad and Nick, we are certain that the film will be a real nail biter experience for viewers.”
What is Coyote about?
Coyote is being directed by Colin Minihan (What Keeps You Alive) from a screenplay written by Nick Simon and Tad Daggerhart, based on a story by Simon, Daggerhart, and Daniel Meersand. The film will center around a family fighting for their lives after encountering a pack of crazed coyotes in the middle of a raging wildfire in the Hollywood Hills. Production on the movie has already started in Bogota, Columbia.
The film is produced by Nathan Klingher, Ford Corbett, James Harris, and Jib Polhemus. In addition to leading the cast, Long and Bosworth are also executive producing alongside Simon, Daggerhart, Roman Viaris, Ruzanna Kegeyan, Jason Carpenter, Adam Mirels, Robbie Mirels, Tyler Gould, Michael Sklut, and Jijo Reed. It is a production by Capstone Studios, Gramercy Park, Teashop Productions, Source Management, and Magnetic Labs, with the latter financing the project with Captstone.
