Fast X Part 2’s Jordana Brewster Gives Disappointing Filming Update

Actor Jordana Brewster has provided some filming updates on the upcoming movie Fast X Part 2, which is going to be the 11th movie in the Fast and Furious saga. The announcement of Fast X Part 2 aka Fast and Furious 11 was made by Vin Diesel, who plays Dominic Toretto in the franchise, in February 2024.

Jordana Brewster doesn’t know Fast X Part 2’s filming start date

Jordana Brewster was recently invited as a guest to have a chat with Screen Rant, where she was asked to spill some details regarding the filming of the movie. However, the actor, who portrays Dominic Toretto’s sister Mia in the Fast and Furious movies, appeared to be clueless regarding the making of the movie as she said she’s not aware of any filming updates.

“I don’t have a timeline. I’m usually — I mean, I’ll probably read it online, or I’ll try to, try to get some information out of Vin. But, no, I don’t know yet. But hopefully soon,” Brewster said. She further expressed her desire to be a part of the film and be involved in some action like the rest of the cast.

She also said she’d like to see the late Paul Walker’s Brian and her character Mia get back on screen along with their kids, who last appeared in Fast and Furious 7. “I’d like to see them. I’d like to see the teens come back. That’d be cool,” she shared.

In May 2024, Louis Leterrier, the director of the 2023 movie Fast X, hinted at Fast X Part 2 to be in theaters in 2026 and told Collider that the movie will start “filming early next year, and it’s coming out in 2026.” He added that the movie will hit theaters the same day that it was released 25 years ago.
