Universal has unveiled the first look at their upcoming Dark Universe monster animatronics, revealing what some of the most iconic characters will look like at the park.
The new monsters are a part of Universal Orlando Resort’s Dark Universe’s Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment attraction, which is one of five worlds set to appear in Universal Epic Universe in 2025.
The ride will feature 14 figures, four of which include Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, The Wolf Man, and The Creature from the Black Lagoon. Universal’s Dark Universe World is set to open on May 22, 2025.

What Universal Monsters will be at Dark Universe?
Themed all around the Universal Pictures Dark World Universe, the new area will allow attendees to check out the legends of iconic characters like Dracula, The Wolf Man, Frankenstein’s Monster, the Bride of Frankenstein, and more, including more modern characters like Dr. Victoria Frankenstein, the grat-great-granddaughter of Henry Frankenstein.
Fans will make their way into the Dark Universe by traveling through an “electrifying portal,” which will harness the power of the Darkmoor. Once inside, fans will be able to get a clear view of Frankenstein’s Manor, which serves as the centerpiece for the entire area.
As far as things to do, attendees will be able to take part in rides like The Frankenstein Experiment, which sees fans dive deep into the catacombs of Frankenstein Manor to witness another experiment taking place.
A ride based on The Wolf Man is also available, as are makeup and meet-and-greet experiences with some of the monsters. Dining options are also available in the form of Das Stakehouse, The Burning Blade Tavern, and Dr. Lacey’s Cottage.
