Venom: The Last Dance opens in theaters this week, and reviews have begun coming in on the final entry in the trilogy based around the iconic Spider-Man villain.
What are the new scores for Venom: The Last Dance?
With reviews now coming in for the third entry in the Venom franchise, the film debuted with a surprisingly rough Rotten Tomatoes score. At its launch, the film’s Rotten Tomatoes score was just 37%, although that has risen to 40% as of the time of this writing. Over on Metacritic, the film debuted with a 42 based on 27 critic reviews.
Should these scores hold, this would place The Last Dance lower than 2021’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage. That film ended with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 57%, and a Metacritic score of 49 out of 100.
Despite the low scores for The Last Dance, it is worth noting that both Venom films did have incredibly high audience scores despite the low critic ratings. The first Venom had an 80% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, with the second scoring 84% on the site.
