The Room Next Door & I’m Still Here Wide Release Dates Set

Sony Pictures Classics has announced the wide release dates for two of its upcoming movies, The Room Next Door and I’m Still Here.

When are The Room Next Door and I’m Still Here wide release dates?

The Room Next Door will premiere in theaters on December 20, 2024, in New York and Los Angeles. After that, the film will expand to select cities on January 10, 2025, before opening nationwide on January 17, 2025.

I’m Still Here will release on January 17, 2025, in New York and Los Angeles, before having its nationwide release a month later, on February 14, 2025. The film will also receive a one-week awards qualifying run in New York and Los Angeles in November before the wider rollout in January.

The Room Next Door is written and directed by Almodóvar, based on Sigrid Nunez’s 2020 novel What Are You Going Through. The film stars Tilda Swinton, Julianne MOore, John Turturro, Alessandro Nivola, Juan Diego Botto, Melina Matthews, Raúl Arévalo, Victoria Luengo, Esther McGregor, Alex Høgh Andersen, and Alvise Rigo.

“Ingrid and Martha were close friends in their youth, when they worked together at the same magazine,” reads the film’s synopsis. “Ingrid went on to become an autofiction novelist while Martha became a war reporter, and they were separated by the circumstances of life. After years of being out of touch, they meet again in an extreme but strangely sweet situation.”

I’m Still Here comes from director Walter Salles, and stars Fernanda Torres, Selton Mello, Guilherme Silveira, Valentina Herszage, Luiza Kosovski, Barbara Luz, Cora Mora, Humberto Carrão, and more. The film follows the lives of a mother and her five children following the disappearance of their father, former Brazilian Labour Party congressman Rubens Paiva.
