Netflix has shared the official Maria movie poster for acclaimed filmmaker Pablo Larraín‘s newest female-centered biographical drama, starring Oscar winner Angelina Jolie as she portrays opera singer Maria Callas. Following its world premiere at the 2024 Venice International Film Festival, the film will now arrive in select theaters on November 27, followed by its Netflix debut on December 11.
“The film follows the American-Greek soprano as she retreats to Paris after a glamorous and tumultuous life in the public eye. Maria reimagines the legendary soprano in her final days as the diva reckons with her identity and life,” reads the official synopsis.
