Bugatti biopic movie in development, will reportedly film next year

A Bugatti movie is set to go into development under producer Andrea Ierovolino’s production house, The Andrea Iervolino Company.

According to a report by Deadline, the biopic will be based on the story of the founder of the luxury car brand, Ettore Bugatti. He founded Bugatti in the city of Molsheim. However, following Ettore’s son, Jean’s death in 1939 and his death in 1947, the company went into a complete financial loss.

Bugatti got a full revival following its acquisition by an Italian businessman, Romano Artioli in 1987. The company was further acquired by German vehicle manufacturer, the Volkswagen Group in 1998.

The biopic is set to enter its filming phase next year in Italy with a full international cast. However, Andrea Iervolino is still on the hunt for writers to craft a masterclass script and a potential director for the project. Additionally, the movie is going to be in the English language.

Talking about the Bugatti biopic, Andrea Iervolino said in a statement, “After the success of our films on Lamborghini and Ferrari, I am thrilled to bring another global automotive icon to the screen. Bugatti will be a film that honors the passion and innovation that have defined one of the most iconic car manufacturers of all time.”
