What do we know about M3GAN 2.0?

M3GAN 2.0 will see Allison Williams reprise her role as Gemma, while Violet McGraw is once again playing Cady. Also reprising their roles from the first movie are Jenna Davis as the voice of M3GAN, Brian Jordan Alvarez as Cole, and Jen Van Epps as Tess, while Ivanna Sakhno, Timm Sharp, Aristotle Athari, and Jemaine Clement are part of the main cast.

Johnstone also directed M3GAN. The script was written by Akela Cooper, who wrote the first movie, while James Wan, Jason Blum, and Williams serve as producers. Johnstone, Mark Katchur, Michael Clear, Judson Scott, Ryan Turek, Adam Hendricks, and Greg Gilreath are executive producers.

M3GAN 2.0 will be released in United States theaters on June 27, 2025, from Universal Pictures. It was originally supposed to come out in January 2025 before it was pushed back to May and then June.

McGraw told ComingSoon in a March 2023 interview about people’s reaction to M3GAN and the upcoming sequel, “I love that people are loving it. I think that it’s really funny, like I love Cady so much and I love that some people are calling her their favorite character and it makes me so grateful to be a part of such an amazing iconic film. But it was just really amazing. I was in shock when I like heard how fast M3GAN 2.0 was coming. I’m like, ‘Oh, already? Okay.’ But I’m so excited to work with that whole crew again. But I’m so glad people loved the film so much.”

M3GAN, meanwhile, is currently streaming on Starz.
