What do we know about The Yeti?

“Oil tycoon, Merriell Sunday Sr. and renowned adventurer, Hollis Bannister have disappeared without a trace,” a description of the movie reads. Their last known location is northern Alaska. Ellie Bannister and Merriell Sunday Jr., set out to search for their missing fathers and the truth behind what made them vanish! As the rescue team heads deeper into the heart of this frozen landscape, danger mounts. Something has taken notice of their trespassing expedition…and that prehistoric something is now stalking them… hunting them… The Yeti.”

The Yeti is co-written and co-directed by Gene Gallerano and William Pisciotta, while the creature design comes from Wayne Anderson and Ali Gordon.

Cummings is known for directing 2018’s Thunder Road, 2020’s The Wolf of Snow Hollow, and 2021’s The Beta Test, all of which he also starred in. He starred in 2019’s Greener Grass, 2021’s Halloween Kills, and 2023’s The Last Stop in Yuma County, while he additionally appeared in an episode of HBO’s Barry.

“We love the classic horror films Frankenstein and Dracula as well as recent films like Nope and Barbarian. Like these films, the Creature is the star of the film. The vast majority of our creature moments and action sequences are practical “in-camera,” leaning on our talented award-winning SFX and stunt teams,” Brownlee said in a statement.

A release date for The Yeti has not yet been announced.
