Marvel Studios has announced the Deadpool & Wolverine 4K, Blu-ray, and digital release dates for its first-ever R-rated superhero movie starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackson. During its theatrical run, the newest MCU movie has earned a worldwide gross of over $1.3 billion at the box office, making it the second-highest-grossing movie of the year.
“Marvel Studios presents their most significant mistake to date – Deadpool & Wolverine,” reads the official synopsis. “A listless Wade Wilson toils away in civilian life. His days as the morally flexible mercenary, Deadpool, behind him. When his home world faces an existential threat, Wade must reluctantly suit up again with an even more reluctantlier. . . reluctanter? Reluctantest? He must convince a reluctant Wolverine to… oh hell, just watch the movie. Synopses are stupid.”
When is the Deadpool & Wolverine 4K, Blu-ray & digital release date?
Deadpool & Wolverine will be available to rent or own on digital platforms starting on October 1. The film will also arrive on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on October 22. In addition, Marvel Studios will be releasing special limited-edition SteelBooks featuring exclusive custom art and packaging. A special edition Blu-ray will also be available exclusively at Walmart, featuring a Deadpool Corps pop-up inside.
The film was directed by Shawn Levy from a screenplay written by Reynolds, Levy Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells. The ensemble also includes Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Rob Delaney as Peter, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova, Matthew Macfadyen as Paradox, Chris Evans as Human Torch, Jennifer Garner as Elektra, Wesley Snipes as Blade, Dafne Keen as X-23, and Channing Tatum as Gambit.
