Just a few days after the trailer for Nightbitch premiered, Amy Adams is back with more news, with THR reporting that she is set to star in and produce Lazy Susans, a comedy for 20th Century Studios.
What do we know about Lazy Susans?
The film will be written by Annie Mumolo and Stan Chervin, with no director or other cast members attached to the project as of now. According to THR’s report, the film will center around a group of musical moms who form a rock band.
For Adams, it’s yet another role in a legendary Hollywood career. The six-time Oscar nominee most recently starred in 2022’s Disenchanted. Adams is also set to star in the upcoming drama At the Sea from director Kornél Mundruczó, as well as in the upcoming dystopian sci-fi film Klara and the Sun, where she’ll star alongside Jenna Ortega.
As for her next project, Adams will star in the 2024 comedy horror film Nightbitch. The story centers around a woman “thrown into the stay-at-home routine of raising a toddler in the suburbs, who slowly embraces the feral power deeply rooted in motherhood, as she becomes increasingly aware of the bizarre and undeniable signs that she may be turning into a canine”.
