ComingSoon can exclusively debut a new clip from Stinky Summer, which will be released in select United States theaters tomorrow. The upcoming family comedy movie is about a young girl named Olivia who is sent away to camp for one fateful summer.
The exclusive clip sees Olivia befriending a wild skunk who appears to have made its way into the room where she’s sleeping. While Olivia initially chases the creature around with a tennis racket, she decides not to harm it upon realizing that it is young, afraid, and in need of a companion.

What is Stinky Summer about?
“Olivia, lost in the shadow of her parents’ busy lives, is whisked away to summer camp while they chase their latest tech invention,” the film’s synopsis reads. “Struggling with self-doubt, she is able to bond with a group of campers. But as things seem to be getting better, sinister forces conspire to steal her dad’s groundbreaking app. With her newfound friends – a lovable skunk included – Olivia’s summer adventure transforms into a daring quest against international spies, uniting her cabin mates and furry friend in a thrilling battle to protect her family’s legacy.”

The cast of the movie includes Francesca Capaldi, Oakley Bull, Amber Gwin, Elias Christeas, Helen Day, Daniel Ross, and Towanda Underdue.
The film is directed by Amanda Raymond, who previously made 2020’s You Are My Home and 2022’s My Favorite Girlfriend. The script was written by Jenna St. John.
Stinky Summer will be released in select United States theaters on September 6, 2024, from Epic Pictures. It will then be available to watch on VOD on September 10, 2024.
