Universal Pictures has officially set the Didi Blu-ray and digital release dates for Sean Wang‘s directorial debut, revealing when the film will arrive for home release.
When is the Didi Blu-ray and digital release date?
Didi will become available to own or rent digitally and available to buy on Blu-ray beginning on October 29, 2024. Alongside the film itself, Didi’s Blu-ray and digital release will also feature a “making of” featurette, which tells the story of the making of the film’s unique 2000s look and atmosphere.
Directed by Wang, Didi follows the story of 13-year-old Chris Wang, a teenager growing up in California with his mother and grandmother. The film stars Izaac Wang and Joan Chen alongside Shirley Chen, Chang Li Hua, Raul Dial, and Aaron Chang.
“In 2008, during the last month of summer before high school begins, an impressionable 13-year-old Taiwanese American boy learns what his family can’t teach him: how to skate, how to flirt, and how to love your mom,” reads the film’s official synopsis.
Didi is produced by Carlos López Estrada, Josh Peters, Valerie Bush, and Sean Wang. Dave A. Liu, Jennifer J. Pritzker, Chris Columbus, Eleanor Columbus, Robina Riccitiello, Chris Quintos Cathcart, Tyler Boehm, and Joan Chen serve as executive producers on the project.
