Netflix & Greta Gerwig’s Narnia Cast Reportedly Adds Louis Partridge

A new update regarding the adaptation of The Chronicles of Narnia at streaming giant Netflix helmed by director Greta Gerwig, has dropped. With the project being in production for years now at Netflix, a new member has reportedly joined the cast of this highly-anticipated reboot. Actor Louis Partridge is now said to be an integral part of the cast of Netflix’s Narnia adaptation. Here are all the details regarding Partridge’s casting and his alleged role that fans might want to know about.

Greta Gerwig’s Narnia reportedly casts Louis Partridge

Louis Partridge has joined the cast of Netflix’s adaptation of the Chronicles of Narnia in a big role.

According to Teen Vogue, details of the role haven’t been made public yet, but IMDb has accredited Partridge’s character as Diggory Kirk. Thus, although the specifics are unconfirmed, fans can expect some exciting things to transpire from this union. The announcement of Partridge’s casting in this Greta Gerwig directorial was made by Deadline.

The development of the Chronicles of Narnia adaptation started in 2018, with the Barbie director handling the direction of this monumental project. Additionally, Netflix has reportedly decided on two movies to be part of this deal. The streaming platform acquired the rights to C.S. Lewis’ book series in 2018, which serve as the source material for the movie.

Expressing her excitement to work on a project like this, Gerwig spoke to Time in February 2024. She said, ”As a child, you accept the whole thing — that you’re in this land of Narnia, there’s fauns, and then Father Christmas shows up. It doesn’t even occur to you that it’s not schematic. I’m interested in embracing the paradox of the worlds that Lewis created because that’s what’s so compelling about them.”

Starring Louis Partridge, Netflix’s The Chronicles of Narnia will be the fourth film adaptation of C.S. Lewis’ work. Meanwhile, the previous adaptations include 3 movies in 2005, 2008, and 2010, respectively.
