V/H/S/Beyond Trailer Previews New Installment in Found Footage Franchise

Shudder has finally released the trailer for V/H/S/Beyond, an upcoming found footage horror anthology movie featuring six horrifying stories. 

Serving as the seventh installment in the V/H/S franchise, V/H/S/Beyond is scheduled to arrive on the popular horror streaming platform on October 4, 2024. 

What happens in the V/H/S/Beyond trailer?

While the trailer previews only glimpses from the six tapes, it gives viewers a look at what to expect from the upcoming feature, such as monsters lurking on airplanes and in the woods. It is directed by several horror mainstays, including Jordan Downey (The Head Hunter), Justin Martinez (Southbound), Virat Pal (Recapture), Kate Siegel (The Haunting of Hill House), Christian Long, Justin Long (Jeepers Creepers), with a special participation by Jay Cheel (How To Build a Time Machine).

V/H/S/Beyond will feature several stories, including Stork (directed by Downey), Fur Babies (directed by the Longs), Live and Let Dive (directed by Martinez), Dream Girl (directed by Viral Pat), and Stowaway (directed by Siegel), with Cheel rounding out the terrifying tale. 

The directors partnered with writers Kevin Stewart, Ben Turner, Evan Dickson, and Mike Flanagan (The Fall of the House of Usher) for their respective segments. 

“V/H/S/BEYOND, the seventh installment of the V/H/S franchise will feature six new bloodcurdling tapes, placing horror at the forefront of a sci-fi-inspired hellscape,” the logline reads. 

First introduced in 2012, the first film — titled V/H/S — spawned five more installments, including V/H/S/2 in 2013, V/H/S: Viral in 2014, V/H/S/94 in 2021, V/H/S/99 in 2022, and V/H/S/85 in 2023, with the forthcoming V/H/S/Beyond as the latest in the franchise. The V/H/S spin-off films include 2016’s SiREN and 2022’s Kids vs. Aliens. 

V/H/S/Beyond hits Shudder on October 4, just in time for Halloween. Other V/H/S features are also available to stream on the platform.
