What is Never Let Go about?

“In this new psychological thriller, as an evil takes over the world beyond their front doorstep, the only protection for a mother and her twin sons is their house and their family’s protective bond,” reads the synopsis. “Needing to stay connected at all times — even tethering themselves with ropes — they cling to one another, urging each other to never let go. But when one of the boys questions if the evil is real, the ties that bind them together are severed, triggering a terrifying fight for survival.”

The script was written by Kevin Coughlin and Ryan Grassby. Aja, Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, and Dan Levine produce the movie, while Berry, Holly Jeter, Daniel Clarke, Emily Morris, Christopher Woodrow, and Connor DiGregorio serve as executive producers.

Matthew Kevin Anderson, Christin Park, and Stephanie Lavigne also star in the film.

In addition to Crawl and his new movie, Aja made 1999’s Furia, 2003’s High Tension, 2006’s The Hills Have Eyes, 2008’s Mirrors, 2010’s Piranha 3D, 2013’s Horns, 2016’s The 9th Life of Louis Drax, and 2021’s Oxygen. He’s now working on a sequel to Crawl, which will feature a brand-new cast and will likely be set in New York City. Further plot details remain under wraps at this time.

Never Let Go was originally scheduled for a September 27, 2024, release; however, Lionsgate recently bumped the release date up a week earlier. The film now hits United States theaters on September 20, 2024.
