Early Deadpool & Wolverine Concept Art Features Daredevil, Ghost Rider, & Dinosaur Variant

Early concept art from Deadpool & Wolverine includes Daredevil, Ghost Rider, and a dinosaur variant.

Deadpool & Wolverine opened in United States theaters in July 2024. Directed by Shawn Levy, the MCU film stars Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova, and more.

On Instagram, Marvel’s Rodney Fuentebella shared some early concept art for the movie. The image sees Deadpool and Wolverine fighting an army of Deadpool variants, one of whom happens to be a T-Rex, alongside characters such as Ghost Rider, Daredevil, Elektra, and more.

“Here is an early concept illustration I did for the [Marvel Studios] Deadpool and Wolverine film,” Fuentebella wrote. “This was in the beginning stages of the making of the film so a lot changed but I wanted to show how epic and awesome this film could be at the time. I had a blast creating all the interactions between our heroes and the Deadpool variants. Thank you to @andyparkart for leading this project on the vis dev side and to all the Marvel Studios peps. Check out @ryan_meinerding_art Wolverine concept if you haven’t already. And enjoy!!!”

Ghost Rider and Daredevil don’t actually appear in Deadpool & Wolverine; however, Reynolds said that they had conversations about bringing Nicolas Cage back as Ghost Rider in the MCU movie. A joke is also made about Ben Affleck’s Daredevil character and his divorce with Jennifer Garner, who plays Elektra.

What is Deadpool & Wolverine about?

“Six years after the events of Deadpool 2, Wade Wilson is retired as the mercenary Deadpool and lives a quiet life until the Time Variance Authority (TVA)—a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space and monitors the timeline—pulls him into a new mission,” reads the official synopsis for the film. “With his home universe facing an existential threat, Wilson reluctantly joins an even more reluctant Wolverine on a mission that will change the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).”

Deadpool & Wolverine is now playing in United States theaters.
