Land of the Dead was originally released in 2005, and was directed by the legendary George A. Romero, and is the fourth of Romero’s six “Living Dead” movies. The film focuses on a feudal-like government that has formed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a group of survivors who are trying to flee from zombies in the city’s downtown area.
The movie starred Simon Baker, Dennis Hopper, Asia Argento, Robert Joy, Eugene Clark, and John Leguizamo. The movie was considered a relative success, and was succeeded by Diary of the Dead and Survival of the Dead, the latter of which was Romero’s final film as a director.
