Shang-Chi 2: Florian Munteanu Teases Avengers 5 Possibilities

While Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has not spilled much about the highly-anticipated sequel of the 2021 superhero hit Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, a key actor associated with the movie has let fans in on some details. Florian Munteanu, who portrayed Razor Fist in the movie, has addressed the future of his character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Munteanu’s Razor Fist became quite the fan favorite, leading to ongoing demands for his return in Shang-Chi 2, and maybe in the recently announced Avengers: Doomsday.

Shang-Chi’s Florian Munteanu on Razor Fist’s MCU return

While promoting his much-anticipated film Borderlands, Florian Munteanu seemingly hinted at his potential return as Razor Fist in the MCU.

In an interview with ComicBook.com, Munteanu was questioned about the possibility of his appearance in Avengers: Doomsday. With the latest reports indicating that the upcoming Avengers installment could feature over 60 MCU characters, the Razor Fist actor addressed whether his character could be one of them.

When asked, Munteanu immediately joked about getting into some kind of trouble with Marvel and said, “Are you trying to get me in trouble here?”

“I think we all love Shang-Chi. I hope you did as well. The works continue for the sequel, obviously. And now the wait for the next phase, took a while, and now they’re prepping The Avengers, the fifth one,” he added.

Talking about his potential return, Munteanu further stated, “The news came out that a lot of characters might be in there. We’ll see. We’ll see what happens.”

The fact that he did not deny his involvement and kept the answer vague could lead to fan speculation about him being in talks for Razor Fist’s return. But, his appearance in Avengers 5 stands unconfirmed at the moment.

Could Shang-Chi be in Avengers 5?

Shang-Chi’s return in Avengers 5 isn’t confirmed yet either. However, he was established as one of the MCU’s next-generation heroes and caught the attention of Wong, Bruce Banner, and Carol Danvers in his film’s end-credits scene. So, as a continuation of that setup and with numerous characters appearing in Avengers: Doomsday, it’s highly likely for the wielder of the extremely powerful Ten Rings to make an appearance in the next Avengers installment.
