Deadpool & Wolverine: Jennifer Garner Addresses Elektra Return in New Training Video

Golden Globe winner Jennifer Garner has finally broken her silence regarding her recent return as Elektra Natchios in Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine movie. Garner first played the Marvel assassin in 2003’s Ben Affleck-led Daredevil movie. She reprised the role once again in her own Elektra movie in 2005.

What did Jennifer Garner say about return in Deadpool & Wolverine?

On Instagram, Garner has dropped her training video for Deadpool & Wolverine, revealing her preparation for her Elektra return. In her post, she confirmed that Ryan Reynolds and director Shawn Levy asked her about joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie during the production of their 2022 movie The Adam Project.

“I remember the moment Shawn and Ryan had the idea for Elektra Natchios to show up in Deadpool & Wolverine — we were on the set of The Adam Project and they gave each other this look they have that can communicate an idea, 20 pages of dialogue, nuclear codes— there is a crazy artistic kismet between those two,” Garner wrote.

“I didn’t know that Elektra and I needed an ending, but Shawn and Ryan did. They are gifted in many ways, but seeing and elevating people around them is at the top of the list. Shauna Duggins (Garner’s original Elektra stunt double) and I were in heaven on set with them, with my old pal Hugh Jackman, Dafne Keen, Channing Tatum, Wesley Snipes. Shooting the fight was so fun, being there all together—truly like a dream. I’m proud of my friends and grateful to be up there with them. Thank you doesn’t cut it, guys, but it’s a good placeholder until I figure out what does.”
