Ryan Reynolds Wants Wesley Snipes’ Blade to Get Send-off Movie

Deadpool & Wolverine star Ryan Reynolds took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his appreciation toward Wesley Snipes’ Blade while sharing some behind-the-scenes photos of his reunion with the veteran action star. This comes after two decades since Reynolds and Snipes first starred together in Blade: Trinity, the latter’s final solo movie as the iconic Daywalker.

What does Ryan Reynolds want for Wesley Snipes’ Blade?

Reynolds credits Wesley Snipes‘ Blade for paving the way for creating the Fox Marvel Universe and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Because of this, he believes that Marvel Studios should give Snipes a Blade send-off movie similar to Hugh Jackman’s 2017 movie Logan.

Deadpool & Wolverine was directed by Shawn Levy from a screenplay written by Reynolds, Levy Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells. The threequel features returning Marvel stars Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson/Deadpool, Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Rob Delaney as Peter, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio. So far, the film has already earned a total gross of over $820 million at the worldwide box office.

Additional cast includes MCU newcomers Emma Corrin (The Crown) and Matthew Macfadyen (Succession), who will play Cassandra Nova and TVA agent Paradox, respectively. Besides Snipes, Deadpool & Wolverine also brought back Chris Evans’ Human Torch, Jennifer Garner’s Elektra, Dafne Keen’s X-23, and Channing Tatum’s Gambit.
