ComingSoon can exclusively reveal new images from the upcoming thriller movie Crescent City. The new crime thriller stars Terrence Howard, Alec Baldwin, and more. The film will be released in select United States theaters on August 16, 2024, from Lionsgate. It will also be released on Digital and On Demand on the same day.

What is Crescent City about?
“When a small southern town is terrorized by a relentless serial killer everyone becomes a suspect… including local authorities,” the synopsis for the movie reads. “As the body count rises and the dark mystery deepens, the chief detective becomes haunted by the horrors of his past. Academy Award Nominees Terrence Howard and Alec Baldwin star in a mesmerizing crime thriller about what it costs to catch a killer.”
Along with Howard (Iron Man, Empire) and Baldwin (30 Rock, The Departed), Crescent City stars Esai Morales (Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning, NYPD Blue), and Nicky Whelan (Hall Pass, Knight of Cups).
The film is directed by RJ Collins, who previously made 2021’s American Sicario and 2023’s Don’t Suck. The screenplay was written by Rich Ronat, who wrote American Sicaro and a number of other films, including 2019’s The Rising Hawk, 2019’s Grand Isle, and 2021’s While We Sleep.
Denise Loren, Eduard Osipov, Vince Jolivette, David Lipper, and Robert A. Daly Jr. produce the movie, while Angie Sanfilippo, Cole Garson, Paul Swigart, Richie Hill, Barry Brooker, Stan Wertlieb, Josh Spector, Matthew Hechinger, Nat Mccormick, Brian O’Shea, Rick Dugdale, Sean Lydiard, Eric Brenner, Anjul Nigam, Jeff Rice, Michael Sirow, Mira Park Howard, Andrea Collins, Inna Tuler, and Vladislav Lapidus serve as executive producers.
