The 2004 neo-noir action thriller Collateral is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and in honor of the occasion, a special Collateral 4K SteelBook release date has been set.
When is the Collateral 4K SteelBook release date?
Paramount Home Entertainment has announced that Collateral will get a limited-edition 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray SteelBook that arrives on August 6, 2024. Alongside the two discs containing the 4K and Blu-ray versions of the movie, the release will also feature digital access to the film as well as a litany of special features, including:
- Commentary by director Michael Mann
- City of Night: The Making of Collateral
- Special Delivery
- Deleted Scene with Commentary
- Shooting on Location: Annie’s Office
- Tom Cruise & Jamie Foxx Rehearse
- Visual FX: MTA Train
Originally released in 2004, Collateral was directed by Michael Mann and tells the story of Max Durocher (Jamie Foxx), a cab driver who picks up Vincent (Tom Cruise) and is soon taken hostage by the man who turns out to be a hitman. Alongside Cruise and Foxx, the film starred Jada Pinkett Smith, Mark Ruffalo, Peter Berg, and Bruce McGill.
Collateral was a massive hit upon its release, earning Foxx an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor, with the film also earning nominations for Best Film Editing.
