“In the dead of night, Rebecca wakes in a decrepit precinct, accused of a hit-and-run. But a deadly scuffle reveals a sinister plot,” the synopsis for the movie reads. With nowhere to turn, she must uncover the truth before it consumes her. But Rebecca harbors secrets darker than they know.”

Detained is directed by Felipe Mucci, who previously made 2020’s Two Deaths of Henry Baker. Mucci co-wrote the script alongside Jeremy Palmer. Ryan Scaringe serves as a producer, while Alonso, Cornish, and Monica Sufar serve as executive producers.

Cornish is known for starring in movies such as 2004’s Somersault, 2006’s Candy, 2009’s Bright Star, 2010’s Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, 2011’s Limitless, 2011’s Sucker Punch, 2012’s Seven Psychopaths, 2014’s RoboCop, 2017’s Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, and 2017’s Geostorm, among others.

Alonso, meanwhile, is best known for playing Marvin T. Milk/Mother’s Milk/M.M. in Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys, which recently concluded its fourth season. He’s also been in movies such as 2003’s Leprechaun: Back 2 tha Hood, 2005’s Jarhead, 2007’s Stomp the Yard, 2009’s Fast & Furious, 2009’s Avatar, and 2021’s Warth of Man.
